Boardwalk Melody Hour Murders
The West Stanly Players will once again be producing a dinner theatre this year. This will be the Players' fourth dinner theatre in the past five years. The Players are happy to be back at the Oakboro Music Hall, now known as Hayfield's Fish House. Our dinner theatre dates are November 20th and 21st at 7:00 p.m. Tickets are $25 each which includes a meal complete with salad, main course (chicken or fish), dessert, and beverage in addition to the production. This year's production is an audience-interactive murder mystery in which the audience is asked to solve "whodunit." Also offered is a special Thursday night show with no dinner (light refreshments only) for $10 to the general public, $5 for students and staff.
Blood Drive
The fall blood drive at West Stanly will be held Tuesday, November 24th, from 8:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Donors should eat iron-rich foods for the two weeks prior to donating blood and drink plenty of water and avoid caffeine on the day of the drive. All presenting donors will automatically be entered in a drawing for the chance to win one of three pairs of round-trip Delta Air Lines tickets. All donors must present a photo ID or an American Red Cross bloodd donor card at registration.
